Carmen Lugo Perez was from a large family. She married into an even larger family: the Delgado Ramos family of Caguas. She married Rafael Delgado Ramos (1906 to 1967) on June 20, 1925. They had a son named Ramon Rafael Delgado Lugo (Guli) who was born on June 3, 1926 and died September 28, 1942 at the age of 16. Mother and son both died of tuberculosis. Her husband and son are buried in the family plot in the Municipal Cemetery in Caguas,
