Rev. W.E. Foster, 77, DeWitt, a retired ordained minister of the Church of God, died Tuesday (Dec. 20, 1983), at John Warner Hospital, Clinton, IL.

He was born May 16, 1906, in Russell County, a son of James Franklin and Bessie Roy Foster.

He married Mollie Chrisman July 26, 1925, in Kentucky. She survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Virlan and William, both of DeWitt; three daughters, Izel Riggs, Clinton; Delia Diamond, Chesapeake, Ohio; and Rose Stephens, Russell Springs, seven grandchildren; and eight greatgrandchildren.

A son, a grandson, two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

He was a member and former pastor of Farmer City Church of God. He served churches in Kentucky, Indiana and Illinois.
