James Walker Allsup died 28 Dec 1967, at the age of 84 years, at Casper, Wyoming. He was born 25 Oct 1883, in Mt. Pleasant, Henry County, IA, the 7th of 8 children of Ralph Walter and Lucy Ann (Andrews) Allsup. He married Jennie Merle Baughn, daughter of Erastus and Jennie (Howard) Baughn, on 21 April 1911, in Manville, Wyoming, where he worked as a barber for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, Lusania White, Lucy Conor, Harriet Raines and Florence McGuire, and one brother, Frederick V. Allsup. His wife, Jennie, three sons, Darrell Bradford Allsup, Wilbur Erastus Allsup and James Claud Allsup, two daughters, Lola Cleo Swisher and Bette L. Alexander, and twelve grandchildren survive him. He was buried at Dellville Cemetery in Manville.
