Jack Alfred Taylor, 80, of Pleasant Grove, Utah, passed away on July 8, 2013 at his home while under the care of his children. He was born June 20, 1933 at his home in Springville, Utah, to Robert Clifford Taylor and Thelma Maude Thorpe. He married Connie Lee Bennett July 5, 1950. They were later sealed in the Provo Temple on November 24, 2007. Jack spent most of his childhood in Springville and American Fork, Utah, where he attended high school.

From an early age Jack developed a great respect and love for hunting and fishing, which he enjoyed most when he was able to share this with family members. He enjoyed working with his hands, creating beautiful silver and gold jewelry, leather items, and woodwork. He also found great joy in his five children, 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and their accomplishments.

Jack worked for Geneva Steele, Garrett Freight Lines, and Utah County.

He is survived by his daughter, Debbie Farr (husband, Michael) of Eugene, Oregon; son, Jack Ray Taylor (wife, Ronda Brown) of St. George, Utah; daughter, Keely Giles (husband, Craig) of Pleasant Grove, Utah; and son, Adam Taylor (wife, Julie Liston), of Pleasant Grove, Utah. A daughter Lisa, age 10, died in an accident in 1964. Jack was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Connie Lee Bennett; daughter, Lisa; and brother, Bud Taylor.

Our beloved father, grandfather and friend will be remembered for his kind heart, constant support, and his creative and artistic talents. He loved the outdoors, taught his posterity the value of hard work, and enjoyed visiting with family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 13th, 2013 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 300 East 500 North in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Family and Friends are invited to a viewing that same morning from 9:00 am until 10:30 a.m. prior to the funeral. Interment will take place at the American Fork Cemetery.
