Harold Armet was born Oct. 26, 1913 in St. Louis, Mo. to Homer and Gertrude Armet. He went to be with the Lord on Dec. 20, 2003 in Mt. Mesa.
Harold moved from St. Louis to Dallas in 1929, then on to California in 1940. His life work was that of a leather worker, making saddles, belts and anything made of leather.
Harold loved his church and was a faithful attendee before becoming ill. He loved to fellowship and go to dinner. He also loved camping sometimes with good friends Fran and Mark Kerneghan Sr., whom he lived with before living at the Skilled Nursing Center at Kern Valley Hospital.
His wife, Eula, whom he loved very dearly, preceded Howard in death. He is survived by his son Harold and wife Gloria of Havilah; daughter Barbara McDaniel of Wofford Heights; two grandchildren, Harold Wesley Armet and wife Julie of South Dakota and Loura Yvonne Brodrick and husband Steve of Kentucky; and great-granddaughter Lavera Elizabeth Armet of South Dakota.
Graveside services were held Dec. 29 at Kern River Valley Cemetery with Bert Simpson officiating.
Harold will be missed by his family and church family friends.
Services were entrusted to Lake Isabella Valley Mortuary.
