Timothy Davist Childers Jr., aka "TJ", 18, of 19726 Wrenn Drive, Dinwiddie, died Sunday, June 30, 2013.

He was born in Howard County, Md., on Dec. 12, 1994. TJ attended Dinwiddie County Public Schools and was a recent graduate of the Dinwiddie County High School class of 2013. TJ had planned to continue his education at Penn State University, majoring in Forensic Pathology. He enjoyed sports and was a serious Baltimore Ravens fan. TJ was loved by his family, friends and all who knew him.

He leaves to cherish fond memories of him: his loving and devoted parents, Timothy Davist Childers Sr. and Rachael Elizabeth Childers; sisters, Samantha Ann Stebbing and Melynda Danielle Childers, all of Dinwiddie; maternal grandparents, George and Dianna Stebbing of Tracy's Landing, Md.; maternal grandmother, Nancy West Beck of Glenn Bernie, Md., paternal grandparents, Carl D. Childers and Linda F. Childers of Longs, S.C.; nieces, Raven Nicole Rose Griffin and Kelly Ann Marie Griffin, nephew, Alexander O'Neal Griffin, all of Dinwiddie; girlfriend, Jessica Parrick; and a host aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 12 p.m. Saturday, July 6, 2013, at Western Heights Baptist Church, 24416 Cox Road, Petersburg. Burial will follow in the Blandford Cemetery. The body may be viewed Friday, July 5, 2013, from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home-Petersburg.
