He was born March 2, 1941 in Prairie Grove the son of William Thompson and Lydia Florence Pannell Bond.
Roy retired from the University of Arkansas Physical Plant after 38 years of service. He was a church deacon for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Joe, Troy, Willie and Jasper Bond, three sisters, Katy Bond, Euel Earl Messimer and Francis Cody.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Patricia Bond; one son Richard Bond and wife, Amy of Farmington; one daughter, Robin Duffy and husband Steve also of Farmington; one brother, John Bond of Farmington; one sister, Eula Elmore of Alabama; five grandchildren, Colton and Bryson Duffy and Kynleigh, Bayleigh and Berkleigh Bond.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Farmington Baptist Church.
