Mr. Benjamin Eyler died quite suddenly at his home in Eyler's valley, this county, on Thursday evening, Sept. 16th. He had been cheerful, and apparently as well as usual during the day attending to business and in the evening went to the field to bring in his cattle. After returning, he complained of a severe pain at his heart, and in the course of half an hour he was dead He went up stairs, intending to go to bed, and was followed up in a few minutes by his wife, who was greatly shocked to find him on the floor in a lifeless condition. He had been a long and faithful member of the United Brethren church and was highly esteemed and respected. His remains were interred in the U. B. Cemetery at Mechanisctown* on Sunday, Rev. J. G. Roundabush officiating. He was aged about 69 years and leaves a wife and seven children to mourn their loss.
