Little Mildred died in a terrible way. She was playing in the kitchen while her mother was doing the laundry. Her mother stepped out for a moment and Mildred reach up and pulled the plug out of the tub of water, and very hot water rushed all over her little body. She was completely scalded and died as a result 2 days later.

" Little Child Dies from Scalding"
Mildred, the little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Zingsheim of the town of Herman, was fatally scalded last Monday, dying Wednesday from her injuires.
The little girl, who was only about one year old, was creeping about the kitchen, where her mother was prparing to do the family washing. Mrs. Zingsheim left the room for a moment and in some way the child reached up and pulled the plug from the washing machine, letting the hot water over her. Her mother immediately found her and Dr. Albers of Allenton was called. It was thought that as assistance as so promtly secured she would pull through it all right. She lingered until Wednesday evening and then succumbed to her injuries. The parents are heartbroken over the loss of their little one.
Mr. and Mrs. Zingsheim formely lived in Nenno, but moved to their present home about a year ago. They have one other child, a little son. The funeral took place as SS. Peter and Paul's church at Nenno. Friday Afternoon.
