Carroll H. Lane, age 80, of Knoxville, departed this life to be with the Lord on March 29, 2012. Carroll was of the Baptist faith and a member of Everton Baptist Church, Roane County. He was a lifetime member of Labor Union Local #818. Preceded in death by daughter, Kathy Ann Lane. Father, Robert Lane. Mother, Rachel Lane and several brothers and sisters. Carroll was surrounded by his family, wife of 57 years, Naomi Lane. Son, Gaylan Lane and daughter, Lisa Lane. Also survived by sister, Imogene McLemore and brother Ralph Lane both of Knoxville. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Jay Warrick of Knoxville for his many years of care and kindness. Also a special thank you to the nurses of Professional Case Management and Covenant Hospice. Family & friends will meet at 1:45 PM Sunday at Greenwood Cemetery for graveside service and a time of prayer at 2 PM. The family ask that donations be made to the Arthritis Foundation or the American Diabetes Foundation in lieu of flowers. Family & friends may pay respects on Saturday at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City.
