Funeral services were held Monday, May 23 at Campbell Funeral Home for Lucile V. Bixler, 70, of Dallas, Texas, who died at Doctor's Hospital in Dallas on May 20, 1893. The Rev. Owen Wilmont officiated. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.
Lucile V. Bixler was born January 6, 1913 in Oakland, Nebraska, to Delmar and Mary Ellen Koehler Feer. She married David Theodore Bixler. She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Wade (Ellen) Morris of Dallas, Texas. A granddaughter, Virginia Dawkins, Dallas, Texas, a grandson, David Pierce; and a great-grandson, Donald Dawkins, Dallas, Texas, also survive her.
Pallbearers were David Pierce, Melvin Kuhr, Pete Sorensen, and Fred Gilliland. Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for the services.
