He was Baptist by faith and attended Happy Valley Baptist Church. Mr. Baker retired after working a number of years with Dekalb County.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Ethel Mae Baker and son, Joseph Eugene Dailey (d 1-19-2002 age 48).
Survivors include his children, Anthony and Linda Collins, Temple, Gerald and Shelia Collins, Villa Rica, Diane and Lamar McGatha, Villa Rica, Ruby and Michael Baxter, Carrollton, sister, Bertha Thompson, Lagrange, brother, J.C. Baker, Roopville, honorary daughter-in-law, Joyce Collins, Villa Rica, 16 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren also survive.
