Karen Elaine Brown, 50, of Rockwood, Tennessee died Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.
She was a member of Trinity Word of Faith Church and loved singing gospel music.
She was preceded in death by a son, Randall Corey Abston; and grandparents, James and Ava Brown.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Stephanie and Brian Skidmore of Rockwood, Raven and Travis King of Kingston; grandchildren, Tyler and Shaleigh Skidmore of Rockwood; mother, Ola Fay Willis of Rockwood; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Dean Willis of Rockwood, James and Mattie Brown of Maryville, Jackie and Robin Brown of Harriman; sister, Anna Fay Northern of Rockwood; nieces, Sonya Mee, Heather Thomas and Sonja Beeler; nephew, Jackie Brown; special friends, Randy and Kathy Abston of Oakdale; and a host of friends.
The family received friends Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Evans Mortuary in Rockwood. The funeral service followed at 8 p.m. in Evans Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Randy Griffis and Rev. Richard Shaffer officiating. Graveside and interment Sunday, Oct. 18, at 1 p.m. at Piney Grove Cemetery in Midtown.
