James William Jones, 75, passed away at 8 o'clock on Friday night, July 1, after having been in ill health for about seven weeks. Funeral services were conducted at the Bethel Methodist Church, of which the deceased was a devoted member since early manhood, on Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock by Rev. D.W. Akins, Rainey Funeral Home was in charge of burial in the adjoining cemetery. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Mollie Jones; one son, Benford Jones; two daughters, Miss Birdie Jones and Mrs. Jack Emberton; four grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Mazie Akins; two brothers, Ed Jones of Jasper and Frank Jones of Oregon.
