Ann Robinson, by virtue of the date of her marriage, was undoubtedly the eldest dau. of the early Guilford, Conn. settlers Thomas and Mary Robinson likely born in Old England vs. New England. Some writers claim she d. in Guilford on Apr. 27, 1686, but the latter date is the recorded date "Ann, dau. of Joseph and Anna" Dudley d. in Guilford. When Ann (Robinson) Dudley actually died, she was undoubtedly interred in Guilford's former Village Green cemetery (now a city park), where her body still remains. In 1818 all gravestones at the Village Green were relocated to other cemeteries, but no gravestone for Ann, if she had one to begin with, has survived.

On Oct. 6, 1670 of record in Guilford, Conn., Ann m. (by Wm. Leete) Joseph Dudley, s. of William Dudley and Jane Lutman, b. of record Apr. 24, 1643 in Guilford. He d. in Guilford June 3, 1712 and was also undoubtedly interred in Guilford's former Village Green cemetery, but in 1818 no gravestone for him was relocated to another cemetery. They had nine known children: twins Joseph and Benjamin in that order, Caleb, Joshua, Miles, Mary, Ann, Mercy and William.

Inscription

Although she was likely interred in Guilford's original village cemetery (now the commons and public park in downtown Guilford), no surviving gravestone was known in 1818 when all gravestones at the Village Green, but not the people's remains, were dispersed to other town cemeteries.
