March 21, 1974 - Carroll Daily Times - Mrs. Mae Corey, 90, a lifelong Lake City resident, died Wednesday, March 20, at the Shady Oaks Nursing Home here. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church, Lake City. The Rev. Timothy Hollinger will officiate. Huffman Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Friday. Interment will be in the Lake City cemetery.
Mrs. Corey was born Oct. 9, 1883, at Lake City, the daughter of George and Sarah (Skaggs) DeHart. On Dec. 3, 1902, she married Arthur Corey at Lake City. Mrs. Corey was a member of the Lake City Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Howard Corey of Lake City and Carl Corey of Portland, OR; 13 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; and 8 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1941, and one daughter, and an infant son.
