Death claimed Mrs. Mary Ethel Jolly of Winnsboro January 2 at Riley Nursing Home. She was 72 years old. Mrs. Jolly, a native of Mississippi, was born July 4, 1888 [sic 1887].

Funeral services were held at Young's Funeral Chapel at 3 p.m. Sunday, with the Rev. J. C. McClendon officiating. Interment was in Coax cemetery.

Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Onie Mae Jones and Mrs. Allen Newman, both of Winnsboro, and Mrs. Ouida Brady, Baskin; three sons, [Joe] Everett Jolly, Newellton, Marby [sic Frank Mabry] Jolly, Jerseyville, Ill., [Henry] Shelton Jolly stationed with the United States Army in Germany; five brothers, Jeff Williams, Natchez, Miss., Sugman Williams, Magee, Miss., Barkin Williams, New York, Mark Williams, Baskin and Bob Williams, Jigger; three sisters, Mrs. Vester Hughes and Mrs. Joe Miller, Semary, Miss., Mrs. Susie Cockerham, Collins, Miss.; 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Edward Newman, R. S. Newman, Henry Williams, J. L. Jones, Jack Walker, and Henry Rider.
