Eufaula resident Edward Lee Adams, 74, passed away Thursday, July 7, at the Muskogee Regional Medical Center.
He was born April 28, 1931, in Ada to Clarence Edward and Ola Mae (Parks) Adams.
Adams graduated from Vamoosa High School.
On Dec. 19, 1952, he married Loretta Pauline Knight in Konawa. They had two daughters, Melba and Lee Ann. Loretta preceded him in death Feb. 7, 2000. Edward then married Lucille Scott Feb. 8, 2001, in Eufaula.
Edward was a colonel in the U. S. Army Reserves and the Oklahoma National Guard. He was a veteran of the Korean War. While in the service, Edward was an industrial arts teacher.
Also preceding him in death is his parents and sister, Ren Ruth Sharver.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille, of the home; daughters, Melba Bryant of Eufaula, Lee Ann Harrelson and her husband, Bob, of Shawnee; grandchildren, Kameron Cole, Annie Harrelson, Merry and Nigel Rampergash; great-grandson, Ethan; stepson, Lee Roy Lane and his wife, Becky, of Lenna; stepdaughter, Judy Polson and her husband, Jack, of Eufaula; granddaughters, Emily Polson and Dalina Lane; grandson, Josh Lane and his wife, Tanika; great-granddaughter, Hallie Lane.
Service was 10 a.m. Monday at North Fork Baptist Church with the Rev. Bruce Sanders officiating. Graveside service was 2 p.m. Monday at Vamoosa Cemetery, Konawa, under the direction of Hunn, Black & Merritt Funeral Home.
