Lee H. Barber, 84, of RR Tunkhannock, died Friday at his home.
Born Aug. 2, 1914 in Dallas, he was the son of the late Frank & Martha Dymond Barber. He
attended school in the Bear Creek area and attended the Bowmans Creek Free
Methodist Church. He was separated from the U.S. Army as a master sergeant in
1955, after serving for 22 years. He was also employed by PennDOT and Irem
Temple Country Club. He & his wife, the former Cora "Dolly" Sickler would have
celebrated 58 years of marriage on Sept 30. He was preceded in death by his
sister, Carrie; brothers, Wesley, Joseph, Walter & Reed; and granddaughter
Crystal Lee. Surviving in addition to his wife are sons, Boyd Thomas, Harveys
Lake; Ronald Lee, Centennial, Wyo, eight grandchildren, and 18
gr-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tues from Nulton Funeral
Home with Rev. Gilbert Dutton officiating. Veterans of Foreign Wars Post
3583 of Endless Mountains in Mehoopany will conduct a graveside service.
Interment will be in Orcutt Grove Cemetery in Noxen.
Memorial donations may be made to Northeast Health & Hospice Care, 38 N Main St, Pittston or to the Bowmans Creek Free Methodist Church, Rt 309, Tunkhannock.
