Son of George Conrad Bucher and Kathleen Hill. Widower of Mary Malta Peters.HAROLD BROCK BUCHER, SR of Maitland, FL - he was the son of George Conrad, Sr and Kathleen Hill Bucher. Harold attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, was a WWII, U.S. Army Corp of Engineers veteran, returned to RPI and received a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering and married Mary Malta Peters in September 1948. He owned a custom furniture manufacturing business in Maitland, then worked as a propulsion engineer on the Apollo moon landing program and completed his career as the chief estimator for Orlando Forge, a local ornamental iron company and was a founding member of the Maitland Rotary Club. Surviving are children, Molly Warren of Altamonte Springs, Brock of Windermere, FL and Timothy of Gotha, FL and 4 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held February 16, 2013 at the Tuskawilla United Methodist Church in Casselberry, FL. Published in the Orlando Sentinel on February 14, 2013
