Peggy A. VanDeventer, 90, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2013, in Palestine. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Saturday in Acton Cemetery in Acton, under the direction of Autry Funeral Home with Rev. Chad Presley officiating. A family reception will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Granbury. Mrs. VanDeventer was born to Otto Schultz and Helen Peterson Schultz on Sept. 8, 1922, in Corry, Pa. Mrs. VanDeventer attended First Presbyterian Church in Granbury and worked for Bell Aircraft as a secretary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis VanDeventer. Survivors: Her daughters, Rebecca Mascot and husband, Paul, of Jacksonville and Mary Katheryn Gahagan and husband, Allen, of Englewood, Fla.
