Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Ronald Victor Hancock, 73 of St. Charles, Idaho passed away June 27, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. Ron was born December 16, 1939 in Idaho Falls, ID to Wallace L. Hancock and Violet Mae Hill Hancock. He was raised in Idaho Falls, Nampa, and Salmon. As a child, he had no fear in his many "Huck Finn" type adventures.
He married Audrey Byerly in Winnemucca, Nevada and they were the parents of four childern.
In his younger years Ron worked in construction and as owner of an insulation company, Ron's true passion was the antique business. He and Audrey had an antique shop in Idaho Falls, ID until 1988 when they moved their shop to St. Charles for the summer months. Winters were spent doing antique shows coast to coast. He loved traveling in the RV and spending time in warm country.
He was an adored "Papa" to his grand children and great grand children and always had time and hugs for them. Summers were spent with family in his beloved Bear Lake Valley and Autumns hunting in the mountains.
Ron is survived by his loving wife, Audrey; son, Jerry (Mary) Hancock, Spirit Lake, ID; Daughters, Jackie (Jess) Johnson, St. Charles; Julie Watts, Idaho Falls, ID; Vicki Hancock (Brad Sittner), Brigham City, Utah. 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Sister, Bonnie Johnson, Boise, ID; Pat Stricklan and Julie (Gary) Irving, Idaho Falls, ID. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Wallace and Steven Paul.
Funeral services will be held at the St. Charles LDS Church at 1:00 pm on Monday July 1, 2013. At Ron's request there will be no public viewing.
