Noah Bender
Ill for 10 years, Noah Bender, 71, of Gleim rd, Wheelersburg. retired contractor, died at his home at 2:15 a.m. Sunday.
Before entering the contracting business Mr. Bender was emplayed by the former Portsmouth Steel Railway and Light Co.
He was born March 12, 1880, at Sciotoville, a son af Peter and Harriett Johnson Bender, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Bender married Edna P. Stewart Sept. 3, 1904.
He is survived by his wife and the following children, Mrs. Miriam Schomburg of Wheelersburg. Clarence and Wells Bender of scioto trail, Eugene Bender of Harding av, Sciotoville. Fields Bender of Riverside, Calif., and three brothers William Bender of Bonser's Run, Thomas and Herman Bender of Swaugger Valley, and two sisters, Mrs. Dora Rider and Mrs. Lillie McLaughlin of Bonser's Run.
A son Howard and a sister preceded him in death.
Mr. Bender was a member of Jehovah Witnesses.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Jehovah Witnesses church with Dr. W. H. Springer in charge. Burial will be in Memorial Park under direction of McCurdy Funeral Home. The body may be viewed at the Bender home.
