Younger daughter and co-heiress of John de Vaux of Frieston, Lincolnshire and Joan, the widow of Roger de Gyney.

Maud was the wife of Sir William de Roos, the son of Sir Robert de Roos and Isabel d'Aubeneny. They married before 1287 and had four sons and three daughters:
* William de Ros, 2nd Baron de Ros married Margery de Badlesmere
* Sir John de Ros married Margaret de Goushill
* Thomas de Ros
* George de Ros
* Agnes de Ros, married Sir Payn Talbot & Sir Thomas de Vere
* Alice de Ros, who married Sir Nicholas de Meinill
* Margaret de Ros

Maud died after Easter of 1312, buried at Pentney Priory, with her viscera buried in the chapel of St Mary at Belvoir Priory.

Sir William died 1316, buried at Kirkham Priory.
