Ruth A. (Knapp) Byers of Dedham passed peacefully Tuesday evening, July 2, after visits from her family. She played canasta on Monday. She had dined on her favorite Hershey's Kisses and strawberry ice cream with chocolate syrup and whipped cream until the end. She loved her family and St. John's/St. Stevens Methodist Church. She was predeceased by her husband, George Sr., and son, John. She is survived by her children, Ralph, George Jr, Janice, Jimmy and Nancy; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Visiting hours Friday 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Folsom Funeral Home, 87 Milton St., Dedham, followed by her funeral service at 12:30. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
