Mrs. Huott was well-known throughout the northwest and had a host of friends in Portland and other sections. Her father came west as a representative of the Hudson's Bay company in 1836 and she was born in Walla Walla in 1848. The family lived for many years at The Dalles previous to moving to Portland. Mrs. Huott resided at 169 North Twenty-second street.
Mrs. Huott is survived by four children as follows: Mrs. Frank Loveland of Chicago, Mrs. W. J. Wright of Kethikan, Mrs. T. C. Fargher of Dufur, Or., and Frank E. Huott of Portland.
