WANTAGE TWP: William A. Cloke, Sr, 84 years, died peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Sunday, January 27, 2013. Born in Sussex, NJ he was the son of the late John "Jack" and Melcena (Benson) Cloke. Bill was a lifetime resident of Sussex County.

During his early years Mr. Cloke was a self-employed dairy farmer. In 1965, he became the owner and operator of Cloke Excavating, retiring in 2002. In his spare time, he enjoyed the sport of trap shooting. He was a member of the Fox Ridge Trap League, Tri State Rod and Gun Club, the Pocono Slate Belt Shooting Association, In addition, he was a proud member of the National Rifle Association, was the past president of the Highpoint Little League, the manager for the Sussex Wallkill Baseball team, and was a lifetime member of the Sussex Elks Club.

He is survived by his children Melicent D'Amore and her husband John of Centre Hall, PA, William A. Cloke, Jr. and his fiancée Cathy of Sussex, Jacqueline A. Cloke and her companion Frederick Dunn of Sussex, loving grandfather and great-grandfather of Leigh Ann Gagnon and her husband Jarod, Lori Ann Kunz and her husband Vincent, Linda Quist and her fiancé Joel Wilson, Melanie Ray and her husband John, and great-grandchildren Jonathan Ray, Jr. Sophie Elizabeth Ray, Vincent Nicholas Kunz, and Kailyn Boyette.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Wednesday January 30, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. at the Ferguson Funeral Home 27 Third St. Sussex, NJ. Private family graveside services will be held on Thursday January 31, 2013 at Fairview Cemetery in Sussex.
