The friends of Mrs. Mary Graham will regret to learn of her death last Wednesday morning Nov. 20, at 8:30 o'clock at the home of her daughter Mrs. J.A. Mott Zavalla, TX.
Mrs. Graham was known almost all over Jasper and adjoining counties as Aunt Polly and was 75 years old, being born near Peachtree on March 14, 1837. She is survived by four sons - Messrs. A. A. Dubose, J.F. Graham living in Jasper County and T.B. and R.L. Graham now living in Angelina County and two daughters Mrs. A. Childress living in Indian Territory and J.A. Mott of Zavalla Texas.
Besides the four sons and two daughters she is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Mrs. Graham was a religious lady, having been a member of the Southern Methodist Church since childhood but recently was physically unable to attend as regular as she desired.
Interment was held at Old Jordan Ferry Graveyard, Rev, H.P. Mott, Jr. of Mott Texas officiating on Thursday the 21st a very large crowd of friends and relatives attending.
Before Mary took on the name Graham, she was previously married to Alexander C Brown who died in 1868 and Abner B. Dubose, who died in the U.S. Civil War in 1863.
