Joseph Krejdl was born in Bohemia, December 8, 1864, and lived there until he was 11 years old, when he moved to America with his parents, locating in Fillmore County where he lived continually until his death which occurred at the Lincoln Sanitarium on December 18, 1918.

For a number of months, Mr. Krejdl had been in ill health. some time ago he secured eminent medical advice, and was told that he had inflamation of the brain, and an operation was necessary. He immediately went to the Lincoln Sanitarium, where an operation was performed from which he never recovered. The body was brought home Tuesday, the funeral occurring on Wednesday afternoon. The heartfelt sympathy of a host of friends go out to the bereaved family. The deceased leaves to mourn his loss, a wife and 13 children.
