Hazel J. "Rosie" Swafford, 86, of Riggins, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2013, at her home in Riggins.

Rosie was born Sept. 5, 1926, in Ferndale, Calif., a daughter of Ernest Ambrosini and Aleta (Henderson) Ambrosini. She attended school in California.

She married Willie "Gene" Swafford on Sept. 5, 1945, in Reno, Nev. They made their home in California before moving to Atlanta, Idaho, in the late 1940s. They moved to the Payette Valley in the late 1950s and lived there until 1990 when they moved to Riggins. Mr. Swafford passed away in 1997.

She is survived by a son, Jack Swafford of Lewiston; and two daughters, Jeannie Bullington of Riggins and Jerry White of Uniontown. She is also survived by a brother, Kent Ambrosini of Nevada; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, a daughter, Judy Eichler, died earlier.

A graveside inurnment service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Riggins Cemetery.
