Mrs. Edmund B. Kimmell.

BLAIRSVILLE, May 10. -- Mrs. Martha Roberts Kimmell, wife of Edward B. Kimmell, died yesterday afternoon at her home, 239 South Walnut street, following a lingering illness. The deceased was born in Somerset County, the daughter of John and Sara [Susan - ed.] Roberts, and had resided in Blairsville for more than 35 years. She was a life-long member of the local First Methodist Episcopal Church.

The deceased leaves her husband; one son, John Kimmell, of Hollidaysburg; and two daughters, Mrs. Mary Bowers and Mrs. Edna Linde, both of New York City. Two sisters, Mrs. John Marston, of Covington, Ky., and Mrs. Henry Heffley, of Somerset, also survive.

Funeral services will be held in the Kimmell residence at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon, in charge of the Rev. Howard E. Lloyd, pastor of the local First Methodist Episcopal Church. Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery.

Mrs. Martha Roberts Kimmel, aged 70, wife of Edward B. Kimmel, prominent business man of Blairsville, Pa., died at her home in that place on May 9 last. Mrs. Kimmel was the second daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Roberts, of this place. Following her marriage she resided at Derry for a few years before going to Blairsville. She is survived by her husband and two daughters, both married and residing in New York City, and one son, who lives at Hollidaysburg. Two sisters, Mrs. Eliza Heffley, of West Main street, and Mrs. John Marsden, of Kentucky, also survive. Mrs. Kimmel was a woman of lovely character and her death will be lamented by all who knew her.
