He attended schools at Knox and Freedom, and was an accomplished painter, working in Massachusetts and Florida for many years. He served in the Army and received an honorable discharge April 26, 1955.
He was predeceased by his mother, Bessie, father, Earle, and a brother, Clifford, of Knox.
He is survived by a daughter, Deborah Hunter, of Salem, Mass.; a son, Duane, of Palm Coast, Fla.; a sister, Meredith Murch, of Knox; several great-grandchildren, grandchildren, a niece and two nephews.
Graveside services will be in the summer at the family lot, East Knox Cemetery. (Republican Journal 4/25/2013)
