Emma Kalivoda, daughter of Joseph and Barbara Winbinger Kalivoda was born near Cuba on July 19, 1884, and died on October 4, 1975, at Belle View Manor, Belleville, Kansas, at the age of 91 years, two months and 15 days.
She received her education in the rural schools of Cuba and was united in marriage to Joe Baxa in 1905, and to this union three children were born, Ed, Elmer and Viola.
She spent most of her life in the Cuba community. She was a member of the United Presbyterian church of Cuba.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joe in 1944, two brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by two sons, Ed of Hebron, Nebr., Elmer of Cuba, one daughter, Viola Brabec of Deaver, Wyo., nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 7, 1975, at 2:00 p.m. at the United Presbyterian church of Cuba, conducted by the Reverend Neil Barkley Jr. Interment was made in Tabor cemetery.
