Mayme L. Delarwelle, 90, Algoma, died Friday, March 16, 2007, at Algoma Long Term Care Unit. She was born Oct. 17, 1916, in Tonet to the late William and Margaret (Jadin) Dart. She married Erwin Delarwelle Nov. 19, 1935 at St. Martins Catholic Church in Tonet. He preceded her in death May 12, 2005. Mayme and Erwin moved to Algoma in 1946. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren, playing cards, baking and crocheting different things to give to people. She was a member of the St. Mary's Rosary Society.
Mayme is survived by her children; grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law Ceil Dart; one brother-in-law Louis Johnson; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law Beulah Delarwelle, Victoria (Andrew) Berger, Lillian Schmidt, and Hazel Dekeyser.
She is preceded in death by one son Garry Delarwelle, one brother Cliff Dart, three sisters Irene Dalebroux, Verna Johnson, Marcella Robinson, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Family and friends may call Tues., March 20, 2007, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Algoma from 3 to 5 p.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 5 p.m. Father Bill Swichtenberg will be officiating. Burial, in St. Mary's Cemetery. Wiesner & Massart Funeral Home in Algoma is handling the arrangements.
