Mulvane Resident Dies In Wichita

Mona D. Howard, 52, a life-long resident of the Mulvane community, die Friday in a local hospital.
Mrs. Howard was born May 9, 1802, near Mulvane. She died after an illness of nearly three months.
She was a member of Mulvane Methodist Church and Fern Chapter 107 of the Order of Eastern Star. She was married to John Howard in 1926 in Mulvane. Her husband survives her.

Other survivors include six sisters, Mrs. Agnes Odell, Wellington, Mrs. Fern Rounkles and Mrs. Faye Angelo, both of Hutchinson, Kan., Mrs. Jessie Kiel, 2429 S. Hydraulic Ave., Mrs. Ruby Rhoades, 2510 E. Morris St., and Mrs. Glenn Evert, 424 S. Washington Ave., and one brother, Chester Whitted, 810 N. St. Paul Ave.

Services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Mulvane Methodist Church with the Rev. D.N. McAllister officiating. Burial will be in Mulvane Cemetery with the Fern Chapter 107 conducting graveside rites. Mulvane Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
