Agnes Vasser

Agnes Cecelia Vasser, age 92, of Salisbury died Nov. 22 at Chariton Park Health care center in Salisbury.
She was born Nov. 29, 1905 in Salisbury, daughter of Joseph Henry and Wilhelmina (Widmer) Bange. She married William Vasser May 24, 1939 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Salisbury.
Mrs. Vasser was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, a member of the St. Joseph Altar Sodality, and was a bookkeeper for City Motor Company many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband who died March 11, 1970; two sisters, Ida Roling and Jean Williams; and one great-granddaughter.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Jane Ripperger and her husband, Al of DeSoto and Joanne Gheens and her husband Larry of Salisbury; a brother, Frank Bange of Belleville, Ill.; a sister, Betty Bange of St. Louis; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation and rosary were held Nov. 24 at McFadden-Fuemmeier Funeral Home. The funeral service was Nov. 25 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Bill Debo in charge. Kenny Boss and Connie Pearman were vocalists and David Sturm was organist.
Pallbearers were Brian Ripperger, Keith Ripperger, Jeff Brous, Donnie Littleton, Dale Stallo, and Jamie Cruse.
Burial was in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
Memorials were suggested to the St. Joseph School Foundation of St. Joseph Cemetery.
