The deceased woman was born near Darlington, on August 12, 1849. Her husband, George Benefiel, died 23 years ago and since that time she had lived in Frankfort. She was the mother of a son, Edgar Benefiel, who died ten years ago, and a daughter, Mrs. Reed. There are two grandchildren, Mrs. Nina Hackelman and Charles Benefiel, both of Indianapolis.
The funeral service was conducted at the Reed residence, Tuesday afternoon, by Charles Lawton, of the Christian Science church, assisted by Rev. E. V. Claypool. The burial was at Colfax.
