Obituary: W. J. BRANDENBURG DIES AFTER ILLNESS
William Jefferson Brandenburg, 81, of 207 Randolph Street, died in a local hospital today of a heart condition following a long illness.

A retired pressman, Mr. Brandenburg had worked for most commercial shops in Charleston during the past 45 years -- since he came here from Louisville, Kentucky.

His first job in Charleston was with the S. Spencer Moore book store.

Mr. Brandenburg became too ill to work about five years ago and retired. He then was employed in the print shop of Gates Paint Manufacturing Company.

Surviving are the widow, Myrtle, six daughters, Miss Leah Brandenburg at home, Mrs. Neil White and Mrs. Arthur Miller, both of Charleston, Mrs. T. U. Stephens of Victoria, Texas, Mrs. Louise Evans of Maysville, Alabama and Mrs. Alberto Repecko of Long Beach, California, 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The body is at Wilson mortuary.
