Ruth M. Webb, age 92, of Elmwood, died Saturday, March 11, 2006, at the Heritage of Elmwood Nursing Home in Elmwood.

Ruth was born April 9, 1913, in the Comfort area of the town of Eau Galle, rural Elmwood, the daughter of Frank and Phoebe (Hoyt) Schrader. Ruth married Kermit W. Webb on Nov. 14, 1928, in Red Wing, Minn. After marriage, they farmed in the Elmwood community for many years.
Ruth was an active member of the Elmwood United Methodist Church. She served as president of the U.M.W. for many years. Ruth enjoyed making quilts and made quilts for all of her children, plus her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ruth was very fond of her cats, which also added to her quality of life in later years.

Ruth is survived by two sons, Donavan (Norma) of Menomonie and Larry (Audrey) of Spring Valley; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Webb of Spring Valley; 17 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kermit in 1993; two sons, Jack in 1988 and Howard in 1997; two grandchildren; and a sister, Sadie Annis.

Services were Tuesday, March 14, 2006, at the Elmwood United Methodist Church with the Rev. Charles DeMaris officiating. Burial was in the Spring Lake Cemetery, town of Spring Lake, rural Spring Valley.
