The Bowling Green native was born March 3, 1919. She was a homemaker, a retired employee of the Warren County Board of Education and a member of Bays Fork Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Wood Owens and Katie Cilicia Owens and the wife of the late John Hall Hays. She was preceded in death by a brother,

; and a grandson, Marty Donoho.
