The funeral of John C. Hickok was held on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the late home, 138 Lock street, Lockport, the Rev, N. A. Cassaboon, pastor of Clinton Street M. E. church officiating, in the absence of the pastor of Emanual M. E. church, of which Mr. Hickok was a member. Burial was in Hartland Central cemetery, where services were conducted by Cataract Lodge, No. 54. I. O. O. F, Mr. Hickok having been a member of this lodge for more than 25 years.
Mr. Hickok, died early on Tuesday morning at the age of 72 years, following a prolonged period of illness. He was a native of New York state and spent practically his entire life time in the vicinity of Barker, where he resided until about ten years ago. He had been a resdent of Lockport for the past two years.
He is survived by his wife: one daughter, Ida Hickok; one brother, Milo Hickok of Barker, and several nephews and nieces.
