The Oklahoman, Jan 9, 1961: Miss Heninger, Retired School Teacher is Dead--Miss Lillian Heninger, 71, school teacher for about 40 years, died in a rest home here Sunday after an extended illness.
Miss Heninger was known to hundreds of persons who attended Emerson Grade School, where she was a fixture until her retirement five years ago.
Born at Gainesville TX in 1889, she came to Oklahoma City with her family in 1911 and had lived here since that time.
She was graduated from North Texas College at Denton TX and received an MA degree from the University of Texas. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Iota education society and Temple B'Nai Isreal.
Survivors include three sisters, Mrs Florence Desseaur, of the home address at 1134 NW 39; Mrs I (Rosalind) Liebreich, of Monroe, Louisiana; and Mrs E B (Evelyn) Polytinsky, of Russellville AL. Services have been set tentatively for Tuesday at Hahn-Cook Chapel.
