114. Guy Carlton Rhodes, son of Joseph Davis Rhodes and Elizabeth Carothers, b. Toulon, Ill. 3 July 1844, d. Toulon 28 March 1863. Not being able to obtain parental consent, he slipped away and enlisted in the Union army; returned home in broken health and died shortly thereafter.
