Our loving Mother Mildred Louise Bryan Foster died on April 10, 2009.
She is survived by her four children: Cynthia Ann Foster, Pensacola, FL; Douglas Bryan Foster, Montgomery, AL; Gayle Foster Spurr, Alexandria, VA and Leslie Foster Putnam of Fort Worth, TX.
Mildred is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Ashley Foster Boaz, Montgomery, AL; Frederick Herbert Martin III, McAllen, TX; Carlton Foster Martin, McAllen, TX; Margaret (Maggie) Thornton Martin, Los Angeles, CA; Ryan Foster Putnam of Fort Worth, TX and one great-grandchild, Adeline Gayle Martin of McAllen, TX.
Mildred was born on August 26, 1925 in Kansas City, MO. On April 14, 1945, she married Ltjg. Carlton Ernest Foster Jr., who was serving his country as a Naval Aviator. After the war, they made their home in Pensacola, Florida. Her beloved husband died in 1977, and she remained a widow for the remainder of her life.
She was a passionately devoted Mother, Grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed.
A Memorial Service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, Pensacola, Florida on Friday, May 15th at 11:00am with Dr. Randy Jackson officiating.
After the memorial service and visitation with friends, there will be a private family graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to the American Retarded Community in c/o ARC-Gateway, Ms. Carol Beed, 3732 N. 10th Avenue, Pensacola, FL 32503.
