U. S. Marines, World War II, Pacific Theater. PFC Christian died of wounds from hostile action on the islands of Roi-Namer, Kwajalein Atoll in Operation Flintlock (January 31-February 4, 1944), which was part of the American invasion of the Marshall Islands. He was subsequently buried at sea from the U.S.S. Bolivar (APA-34).
