Luther Isaacs, 69, of Lee County, died at 1:45 p.m., Thursday August 18, at his home after a long illness. A native of Owsley County, he was a member of the Christian Church.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Zillie Isaacs; a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Riley, Beattyville; three sons, Sfc. Charles W. Isaacs, of Fort Belvoir, VA; Leland Isaacs, Booneville, and Allen (Ike) Isaacs, Beattyville; six brothers, Claude Isaacs, Irvine; Ed, Gentry and Finley Isaacs, all of Vincent; Roscoe Isaacs, Levi, and Harris Isaacs, Beattyville; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the residence by the Rev. George Botner. Burial was in the Edwards cemetery in Owsley County.
