Hazel's obituary contained errors. I have marked them with an * and used the correct information based on actual documents. - The discrepancy with her birth date began when a law firm recklessly pulled the wrong birth certificate when trying to settle an estate years ago. The lawyers using false information denied her her legal place in the settlement. Intentional or not we will never know. It is true that when the information she gave them did not match they did not seek to find her actual birth certificate and actually told her she must be confused. It hit her hard. There were 2 Hazel Hansens; 1 with all the correct information she gave them and 1 born on 30 Oct 1907 in Livingston County with the wrong information.

Unfortunately, she passed away before she found out she wasn't confused and her family was truly her family.
