Mary L. Albrecht, age 83, of Wimbledon, ND, died Saturday Sept. 11, 2010 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010 at St. Boniface Church in Wimbledon, ND with Rev. Steven Meyers celebrant. Visitation will be from 4 PM until 7 PM Wednesday at St. Boniface Church with a Prayer Service beginning at 7 PM. Visitation will continue one prior to services Thursday at the church.
Mary Lilian (Samek) Albrecht was born on the family farm in Ash Coulee Township near Dickinson, ND the daughter of James and Mary (Zastoupil) Samek. She attended rural there and later moved with her parents to Wimbledon, ND in 1943.
On Oct. 15, 1949, she was united in marriage with Ervine Albrecht. The couple made their home and farmed near Wimbledon. They retired from farming in 1984. Ervine passed away on July 31, 2005 and Mary continued to make her home on the farm for a time but for the past 3 years has resided in Wimbledon. She was a member of St. Boniface Church and the St. Boniface Altar Society, the Wimbledon Study Club, and was an active member of the Wimbledon Senior Citizens.
Survivors include 7 sons and 1 daughter, 15 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 5 brothers, 4 sisters, and a sister-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 4 brothers, Laudie, Wensel, George, and Valentine and a sister, Georgiana.
