Mrs. Minerva Gardner.

Mrs. Minerva Gardner, aged 70 years, widow of George F. Gardner, passed away at the family home in Scott township, Monday evening, at 9:30 after an extended illness of seven months. Mrs. Gardner was born January 12, 1859 in Lawrence county, a daughter of William and Harriet Rogers Pizor. She had been a resident of Scott township practically all her life, having died on the same farm on which she was born. She was an active and faithful member of the Plaingrove Presbyterian church and attended the services as long as her health permitted. Mrs. Gardner leaves the following sons; Clarence F., at home; Howard L. and William P. of Plaingrove township and Karl R. at home and seven grandchildren. She also leaves one brother, I. J. Pizor of Mercer, and one sister, Mrs. D. W. Dight of Harlansburg. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 5 at 2 p.m. E. S. T. from her late residence in charge of Rev. A. I. Dickenson. Burial in Plaingrove cemetery.
