Mr. Meldrum, 85, died Saturday at his Rochester Hills home. He retired as vice-president of Public Bank of Detroit in 1965. He began his career with Peoples State Bank in Detroit and later worked for Manufacturers Bank and other financial institutions. He was a trustee and member of the fathers club of De La Salle Collegiate High School, Warren.
Survivors include his wife, Josephine; a daughter, Joanne; two sons, Robert and James; a sister, 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Memorials to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital's cardiac care unit, 900 Woodward, Pontiac, MI 48053, are suggested.
