A funeral for Chester J. Meldrum, a former bank executive, will be at noon today at Pixley Memorial Chapel, 322 W. University, Rochester. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Detroit.
Mr. Meldrum, 85, died Saturday at his Rochester Hills home. He retired as vice-president of Public Bank of Detroit in 1965. He began his career with Peoples State Bank in Detroit and later worked for Manufacturers Bank and other financial institutions. He was a trustee and member of the fathers club of De La Salle Collegiate High School, Warren.
Survivors include his wife, Josephine; a daughter, Joanne; two sons, Robert and James; a sister, 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Memorials to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital's cardiac care unit, 900 Woodward, Pontiac, MI 48053, are suggested.
